Fall 2026 Programs – Monday, October 5th Update for Applicants:
Thank you to all student applicants who applied to our Fall 2026 Health Science and Engineering Immersion Programs. From Sunday, October 4th through Tuesday, October 6th, we will be working to send out acceptance emails to as many students as possible. Later in the week, we may also admit additional students from the waiting list as spaces become available. We know that some schools and students may have only learned about the programs near the end of the recruitment period, so we have extended the application grace period through Wednesday, October 7th to give additional students a fair opportunity to apply. We greatly appreciate the time and effort students put into applying. Application decisions are largely based on the number of spaces available, with high school juniors and seniors given higher priority because this may be one of their final opportunities to participate while in high school. The Health Science Immersion Program is significantly more competitive for admission than the Engineering Immersion Program. If you applied to HSIP and have not been accepted, we encourage you to contact us at our applications email if you would be willing to transfer your application to an EIP session, where additional spaces may be available. We highly encourage students who do not hear back from us this week to apply again for a future session. Information about our Winter 2027 sessions, which will run for nine Saturdays from January 2nd through February 27th, will be available on our website by mid-October. We are grateful for the continued interest in our programs and look forward to welcoming our Fall 2026 students when the programs begin on Saturday, October 10th.

Fall 2026 HSIP Student Application Information:
All high school students (grades 9 – 12) in the United States who have an interest in the program material are eligible to apply for HSIP. We want Fall 2026 HSIP to be an enriching and high quality program that all students from any background would feel proud to attend. We also want our program to be accessible and practical to the widest array of students possible. To achieve both of these goals, we have divided our program into sections. Section One consists of students in our program who meet the family income guidelines for the Free and Reduced Lunch program for the current 2026 – 27 school year which can be accessed here (https://www.cde.ca.gov/ls/nu/rs/scales2627.asp). Receiving free lunch at your high school does not necessarily mean a student meets the Section One family income qualification due to changes in many school district meal policies. Section One applicants who are accepted into the program will attend at no cost. Section One students can include students who attend a private school but meet the family guidelines. Section Two consists of all other high school students. They will pay a program fee lower than many other comparable programs. Those applying for Section One will need to submit a form of verification before final acceptance into the program. All times and dates are in Pacific Standard Time (PST) unless otherwise stated. We will respond to your application by sending an email from applications@impactinternships.org to the email address listed in your application. Questions can be emailed to us at info@impactinternships.org. We recommend applying early if possible as we have limited space and are looking to plan ahead.
